Winter Park Estates is one of my favorite areas in all of Big Bear. It is very close to the beaten path, but still remains relatively quiet and secluded. In part, this is due to the fact that there are just two streets accessing the area and that there are no through streets. The only reason one would venture into this area is if one lived there or were staying there. This keeps the area free of traffic and makes for a quiet, safe place for permanent residents and vacation home owners alike.
Winter Park is relatively upscale with most homes having been built in the 1980s and 90s. Most properties in the neighborhood are priced in the low $300,000 to high $400,000. The majority of properties are well-kept and nicely landscaped. The area is well treed but still has a somewhat residential feel to it. There are underground utilities and curbs throughout the area and it is mostly flat and very easily accessible off main streets.
Surrounded by Snow Summit Resort, Big Bear Mountain Resort, Big Bear Lake, The Village, National Forest and Big Bear's main shopping centers, this location is about as central as it gets. In Winter Park, you are no ore than a 5 minute drive from the most popular activities in the valley.
