We have had quite a few lakefront home sales close escrow in this last quarter of 2014. What I thought would be a quiet fourth quarter turned out to be quite active. Here are a few of the latest Big Bear lakefront home sales having posted since October 1st.

39469 North Shore Drive, listing at $754,900 and selling at $754,000, finally closed escrow selling for $311 per square foot after spending a lengthy 973 days on market. An older 4 bed, 3 bath, 2424 square foot true log cabin in a shallow water location, this home sat on an impressively spacious 21,200 square foot lot. Unfortunately, with Big Bear lake's water levels currently being down just over 8 feet from full, boat access is no longer available from this home.

41988 EaglEagles Knoll Lakefrontes Nest Drive in Eagle Knoll Estates listed at $1,150,000 and sold for $1,085,000 after 202 days on market. This 3 bed, 2 bath newer log-style home built in 1997 is 2154 square feet and situated on a 9075 square foot lot. This lakefront sold for $504 per square foot and is in one of Big Bear's premier gated neighborhoods. This home was nicely landscaped as are most properties in this Homeowner's Association governed community.

Gibrater Landing BIg Bear lakefront40307 Gibralter Landing located just west of the Big Bear Village listed at $1,150,000 and sold for $1,140,000 after 139 days on market. There were actually two separate living structures on this property; a 3 bed 2 bath true log main lakefront house and a smaller one bedroom cabin located closer to the street. In total, the property was listed as 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and 2080 square feet. Selling at $548 per square foot, this home was in like-new condition and had great lake views.
