Per my last post, the Big Bear lakefront real estate market continues on its summer roll with 40218 Lakeview Drive being the latest waterfront sale.
A 3 bed, 2 bath, 1864 square foot home built in 1940 with a one car garage, this home listed for $899,900 and sold for $899,000 in just 36 days at $482 per square foot. This home was not in the best condition and was quite dated. The 17,380 square foot lot, on the other hand, has nice lake exposure and a gentle, usable slope and 100 feet of lake frontage.
With four months remaining in the calendar year and at 19 current lakefront sales, I don't think we will come close to the record sales of last year. But it is likely that we will post sales well above the 10 year average for lakefront homes.
