Summer is always peak season for Big Bear home sales and June got us off on the right foot with a big jump in sales.

Compared to June of 2014, we saw an incredible 60% jump in the number of Big Bear homes sold this June with 107 closings.

Looking at a year-to-date perspective, sales are up 23% so far in 2015 as compared to 2014 and all four major price measures have shown appreciation. The average and median sales prices are up 2% and 10% to $276,385 and $219,000 respectively while the average and median prices per square foot are up 3% and 6% to $182 and $170 respectively.

The continuing appreciation of home prices along with the increase in number of Big Bear homes sold are both great signs for our local market. With the busiest months of the year still ahead of us, I am hoping we will see the current trend continue throughout 2015.
