Bear Lake Central extends from the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center and City Hall to just west of the Big Bear Village. The area is bordered to the north by Big Bear Lake and to the south by national forest. The center of attraction in this area is most certainly The Big Bear Village, in which you'll find restaurants, shops, entertainment and special events being held along the paverstone sidewalks of downtown.
This area is also home to three of Big Bear's most popular marinas - Pine Knot Marina, Holloway's Marina, and Big Bear Marina. At these marinas, you can find seasonal dock rentals, boat rentals of all kinds, historical boat tours of Big Bear Lake, and even parasailing!
Bear Lake Central's topography is generally flat and like most of Big Bear, the landscapes are well treed with native Jeffrey Pines. Much of the area boasts beautiful Big Bear lakefront homes. Yet in traveling farther inland, you can find smaller, more reasonably prices cabins. To the south you can find homes either backing to or just steps away from National Forest.
Bear Lake Central is home to Ironwood Estates where you will find several Big Bear luxury homes with absolutely magnificent views. Situated on a steep hillside just south of the village, many of the estates have sweeping panoramic views of the entire valley from their balconies. At night, the lights of the village below against the silhouette mountain backdrop make the view just as spectacular.
