Big Bear Lake East is home to one of Big Bear's most recognizable and desirable neighborhoods, Eagle Point. This flat, central, easily accessible peninsula offers great deep water acces and some of the most impressive westerly views of the lake. As is true with most areas on the lake, you will find a variety of newer and older homes on Eagle Point. For instance, as you head out further towards the end of the point via Eagle Drive, you will find some of Big Bear's most spectacular properties neighboring classic Big Bear cabins from the early 1900s.
As you turn the corner on Lake Drive, it turns into Eureka Drive, home to many wind protected homes on perhaps the most serene part of the lake. It is not unusual to see bald eagles perched amongst the trees in trhis area. This area was named "Eagle Point" for a reason.
As one heads east, you will enter Eagle Point Estates. Although this development has several properties situated alongside the lake, it has it's own a private marina instead of individual docks. Most properties in this community have dock privileges at the marina as well as access to their private park and tennis courts.
Lastly, the eastern most end of the lake is home to Eagles Knoll, the only gated community of homes on the Big Bear Lake. This association offers a private marina for those properties in the community that are not situated on the lake, while the lakefront properties do have privileges to float their own docks. There are also tennis courts and common areas from which one can do some lakeside relaxing.
Here's a short video sharing a few things about Big Bear living. Enjoy!
